- Be escorted by an employee to their destination
- Do Not proceed unsupervised
- Visitors are to review the emergency evacuation plan posted in the main office and at each emergency exit
- If incidents arise follow the Emergency instructions
Visitor Responsibilities
Emergency Instructions
Evacuate the Area
- Get to a safe place (muster point)
Sound an Alarm
- Warn others in the area
- Call 911 or other Emergency Help
Assess/Evaluate
- Take a head count
- Identify the source of the hazard
- Check for injuries
Protect Yourself & Others
- Eliminate the Hazard
- Isolate the hazard, extinguish the fire, etc. (if safe to do so)
- Don breathing apparatus, if required
Rescue Victim(s), if applicable
- Select an appropriate rescue technique based on victim(s) condition & location
- If it can be prevented, do not move the victim if spinal injuries are possible
Revive/Treat Injuries, if applicable
- Check the victim’s condition
- Apply First Aid until medical help arrives
EMS (Emergency Medical Services), if applicable
- Transfer the victim(s) to medical services. Ensure that any victims are accompanied to the hospital and do not leave them alone
Notify a Supervisor
- Management will call government agencies as required Accident Reporting & Investigation
- If possible, do not disturb the scene until the investigation is complete
